Pizza Crescent Rolls (With Flaky Crescent Rolls)
Switch up pizza night and make these delicious crescent roll dough pepperoni pizza rolls – complete with all the pizza favorites like gooey cheese, pepperoni, and a seasoned olive oil topping. if you’re looking for a delicious and easy game day snack then these are it!
They’re also perfect for Friday nights when you want to order pizza but also want to save money, or try making them for a great snack for family movie night.
It’s a quick meal and aneasy way to make pizza with all the classic flavors like spicy pepperoni, melty cheese, pizza dough, and all the seasonings. So easy the kids can make them even!
Simple Ingredients Needed
- Crescent Rolls :The store-bought dough and convenient crescent roll dough provides a light, flaky base that’s easy to work with and quick to bake. It forms the ‘pizza crust’ for the pizza rolls.
- Pepperoni :The classic pizza topping! Use regular sized slices of pepperoni, mini pepperonis, spicy pepperoni, or turkey pepperoni.
- Shredded Mozzarella :Gooey mozzarella cheese melts the smoothest and creamiest inside the rolls, creating a gooey and cheesy center.
- Olive Oil :The olive oil helps the tops of the easy pepperoni crescent rolls become crispy and browned.
- Italian Seasoning :Used to enhance the pizza flavor.
- Garlic Powder
- Parsley
- Pizza Sauce :This is served on the side for dipping. Not all my kids like dipping the rolls into the pizza sauce, but I like to have it there just in case. It adds moisture and the classic, saucey tomato flavor of pizza.
How To Make Pizza Stuffed Crescent Rolls (Printable Easy Recipe)
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray with cooking spray. Set aside.
Open the can of crescent rolls and separate the dough into the 8 triangles. Place the triangles onto the prepared baking sheet.
Place 4 pieces of pepperoni slices at the wider end of each triangle crescent. Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pepperoni.
Starting from the wide end of the triangle, carefully roll the dough toward the smaller tip of the crescent, and making sure to tuck in any cheese that may spill out. Place each crescent roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil and sprinkle the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and parsleyonto the top of each of the crescent pizza rolls.
Cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the pizza rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving with warm pizza sauce, on the side, for dipping (optional).
How Do I Store Pepperoni Pizza Rolls Made With Crescent Dough?
- Refrigerator :Store leftovers inside an airtight container, in the refrigerator, for up to 3 days. You can also wrap the leftover pizza croissants in aluminum foil for storage. Reheat leftovers inside the air fryer or toaster oven for best results; you can also reheat them in the microwave as well.
- Freezer :To store them for a longer period of time you can freeze the baked rolls. Allow them to cool completely to room temperature, then place wrap each one individually in foil, and place the wrapped pizza rolls inside a freezer-safe Ziploc bag or container. Freeze for up to 2 months. To reheat, thaw them in the fridge and then warm them up in the air fryer, toaster oven, microwave, or in a 350 degrees F preheated oven until they’re warmed through.
Tips For Making Pizza Crescents
- Roll the dough tightly to ensure the filling stays inside. If needed, you can pinch the dough around any openings to seal it better, especially at the ends.
- Feel free to add other favorite pizza toppings such as cooked & crumbled sausage, chopped or sliced black olives, chopped mushrooms, or small diced bell peppers – just make sure the toppings are well-drained and not too wet to prevent sogginess.
- Try blending some shredded mozzarella cheese with parmesan cheese for some added flavor! I recommend using the cheaper, shelf-stable grated parmesan cheese because it won’t burn in the oven like fresh parmesan cheese does.

Notes
Olive Oil : I use ‘light tasting’ extra-virgin olive oil but any neutral flavored will work well – avocado oil, canola oil, or vegetable oil.
Serving Size Tip : This recipe easily doubles! I always double the recipe for my family. Use as much or as little pepperoni slices as your family prefers. My kids don’t love tons of pepperoni so I normally only use 3 slices per crescent roll.
